98% of the fun in Triathlon is the training. The other 2% is the measure of how much fun we had.

Hard Core!

So, this morning I'm at home in Minneapolis, and I "needed" a long run. I'm not really training for anything, but I'm trying to re-establish a hefty running base. It was 9 degrees and windy with a supposed wind-chill around 10 below. No problem - "there's no such thing as bad weather, just bad equipment".

I tried to remember the right combination clothes for cold and windy (as many of you know I have most everything). I picked a route that follows Minnehaha Creek to Lake Harriet and back - about 11 miles.

About 2 miles into the run (and into the wind) I determined that I had choosen my equipment correctly and it was going to be a fun and satisfying run...

Just then I saw 10 roadies cruising along in a pack on a training ride... I'm such a wuss!

See you out there.
